Like the others, this one needs some work. I figure you Pros could make some good changes. I wanted to emphasize the good of Chiropractic without sounding very negative. I figure people who don't understand Chiropractic won't respond well to commercials that directly attack a system they are currently comfortable with.
So, this one could start with familiar scenes from everyday life where function is hindered by a change in the structure of common and "necessary" things but the people aren't recognizing the problem. Picture a busy street where traffic is rolling along and all the tires (or some of them on each car) are flat, but traffic is still moving. People are just going on without realizing what's holding them back. Next, A family is watching TV, cooking/eating a meal together, etc. and maybe the electrical ciruitry is messed up. The TV is barely able to be understood, but they're just sitting there like its working fine. The lights are flickering so much that they are not functional but the person is still trying to read, work, study, etc (office, school, library). Maybe mom is cooking, but the stove isn't even working, so the family gets cold food/raw meat but it seems normal. Maybe a marathon starts, but the soles of the runners' shoes are flopping because they are barely connected to the frame of the shoe. These scenes could be brief enough for one commercial or could make a series, but the goal is the connect function with form in everyday scenarios. I thought the best ones are symbolic of life or are very tangible to the average person (marathon=life, hectic traffic is common, etc.)
An added effect could be a cluttered soundtrack to parallel a life with less than optimal function, and contrast against a life with optimal function. With the street scene something like typical like radios playing, a loud transfer truck (with eightteen flat tires), etc. In the home with poor electricity an annouying TV whose sound flickers like the screen and the faulty wiring is heard in the background. Then it gets silent and words appear (this is the part that needs a lot of help) asking how long they would expect to live in this state of function, then how well do they expect to be with their nervous system in the same state of disrepair, and maybe insert a small easily digestible fact (such as, the pressure from the weight of a dime is enough to decrease nerve root function by 60% - only reworded to be easy to catch in a commercial). Then it ends with words telling them to see their local family chiropractor for more information or for a consultation.
